George Earle Chamberlain (b.1913), grandson and namesake of the former governor and senator of Oregon, son of otolaryngologist Dr. Charles Thomson Chamberlain. He received a BA from the University of Oregon in 1936, and an MD from the University of Oregon Medical School in 1938. Oswald West served as Oregon's fourteenth governor. He was born in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, in 1873, and came to Oregon with his family in 1877. His father was a cattle dealer who took his son on many travels throughout the Willamette Valley and Central Oregon.
